Today’s high definition technology has been making huge strides in the IP security camera market as the video surveillance industry has grown over the years.  The days of analog resolution video surveillance is long gone.  In order to have sufficient resolution for your data/evidence to hold up in a court of law or with local authorities, a minimum of 720p or 1mp is suggested by RSI.  Below are some sample images taken from RSI headquarters Exacqvision camera system.These still images were taken from the same recorded playback video clip.  The 1.3 megapixel camera in adequate lighting conditions provides plenty of resolution for viable evidence.
